Mariah Carey not so merry Christmas
I thought selecting a Sunday night for my teenagers to celebrate Christmas would be a fun experience. The Beacon said to be there 30 minutes early, so we arrived at 7:30 pm for an 8 pm start time, thinking it wouldn't be too late to get home for school on Monday. We sat with no explanation for two hours until Turnover finally showed up on stage at 9:30 pm. The show began around 8 pm with no opening act, and I was so disappointed with her lack of respect for her fans and their time. After five songs, we left - only 3 by her, then she had kids and a choir perform while she went off to change. Her voice can't handle the slow songs, but her upbeat ones were a lot of fun. I heard she finished in 90 minutes, and if she had started on time, this would be a very different review. Just wish I had known the real timing; then I wouldn't have wasted $400!
